AMNT Bot on Mac or in the browser: what is different?
Same chat screen both ways. The Mac app adds the things a web page is not allowed to do.

Quick answers
The Mac app shows the same chat as the website, in its own window. It adds files, the browser and the terminal on your computer, behind permission modes.
- Same chat screen
- Yes, the app opens the website's chat in a window
- Only on the Mac app
- Files, browser and terminal on your computer
- Only in the browser
- Nothing to install
- Design fixes
- Arrive with the website, no app update
Is it the same app?
Yes. The chat screen is built once, in the website. The Mac app opens that page in its own window, so a fix to the design reaches both at the same time.
What can only the Mac app do?
It can use files, the browser and the terminal on your own computer, with panels that show what it is doing. A web page cannot reach those, so this is the reason to install the app.
Permission modes let you decide how much it may do before asking you.
What do both of them do?
- Chat with web search, with the sources shown
- Pictures and SVG drawings inside the chat
- Pick the model and how long it thinks
